Our Story

The Jones Standard began as a question: what does it mean to be the standard?
Growing up in San Francisco, I was always drawn to the history of the Gold Rush, a time when value was tangible and currency was backed by something real. That idea stayed with me. As I began exploring American currency more deeply, I came across the concept of the gold standard, a system where every dollar was backed by gold. It represented trust, stability, and integrity. It made me wonder what it would look like to create something that wasn’t backed by gold, but by intention.
The Jones Standard was born from that idea. A brand where every product is rooted in quality, care, and meaning. Not just something to own, but something to experience.
The concept came to life in 2020, during the stillness of the pandemic. While living in Harlem, New York, I would spend time sitting in Marcus Garvey Park, and the vision began to unfold with ease. What started as a feeling became a foundation.
As a fashion design student, shaped by both New York and California, I’ve always been drawn to atmosphere, to spaces, textures, and moments that tell a story. The Jones Standard is an extension of that. Each candle is inspired by place, by memory, and by culture, by the environments that stay with us long after we leave them.
This is not about following trends. It is about creating something lasting. A new kind of standard, one made with intention and lit with memory
